Those were all the twelve tables of Rome. In 449 BCE the twelve tables were completed. The twelve tables came out because the plebeians wanted to know the laws of Rome. The original twelve tables were burnt in 387 BCE. There are 8 punishments for the laws written on the twelve tables. A deformed child would be put to death. After 30 days a person who is still in debt may become a prisoner. Women could not cry at a funeral. A person who lies in court and gets caught will be put to death. A dead man can not be buried or burnt in the city. A tree that is a neighbors tree that is bent over your yard you may remove it. The twelve tables were an early attempt at Civil Law. Ten people wrote the twelve tables. The plebeians had other ideas, they wanted basic rights. And they were willing to cause civil disturbances to get it.
